For many Roblox players, the standard launcher provides everything necessary to play the game. However, advanced users may want additional configuration options or a different way to manage their Roblox installation.

Fishstrap can be useful for players who enjoy experimenting with Roblox settings, want additional control over the client, or prefer using an open-source alternative. It can also be helpful for users who are already familiar with bootstrapper-based Roblox customization.

However, Fishstrap is not required to play Roblox. If you are satisfied with the official Roblox client and its default features, there may be little reason to switch.
